Covid 19 Rules and Regulations
Sag Harbor Tennis Enthusiasts,
We are very excited to get back out on the court.
We will communicate with everyone involved: staff, players, partners, community officials, other community tennis facilities, tennis professionals, tennis organizations such as USTA, USPTA, PTR, Tennis Industry Association, Club Management Association of America, etc., as well as the CDC and the Federal, State, and Local Governments to stay up to date on best practices and procedures.
We are happy to announce that all courts are open and ready for play. As a reminder, they will be soft for about 2 weeks until they get some use, so please be patient with some bad bounces early on.
- Players, staff, and everyone entering the tennis area should wash hands (at least 20 seconds with soap and warm water) prior to arriving at the court-we will have sanitizer available on request-please wash hands again after the scheduled tennis activity has ended
- All reservations will be made online via Kourts, or by contacting a staff member.
- Payment May be made through Venmo, Paypal, or Zelle. - Credit card payments and cash payments can be made near the shop. A small pocket will be created near the tennis shack. You may drop the cash or card, the staff member will pick it up, complete the transaction, and the player will then retrieve the card and/or receipt, all done with ample social distancing. New gloves must be worn for these transactions, and then discarded. Gloves will be available near the tennis shack.
- No spectators or waiting players congregating in the court area - players should arrive no more than five minutes prior to the scheduled activity and should leave promptly at the end of their activity
- Gates will be unlocked on all upper courts. Please enter your court from the proper door. Each set of courts has its own gate.
- Chairs, tables, benches, and water coolers will be removed or roped off to prevent congregating and touching.
- Sanitizer will be available on the court
- Gloves and masks will be available
- Signage will be displayed reminding and encouraging people about hand washing, sanitizing, and keeping social distance (at least six feet apart)
- Courts will be marked (where appropriate) to help players with social distancing
- Group coaching will be limited to small groups (four or less) - if all players are from the same household, the maximum can be higher.
- The players will be positioned at well-spaced stations
- Let us know immediately if you have been diagnosed with COVID-19
- Please do not come to a tennis activity if you do not feel well or if you know that you have been exposed to someone who has COVID-19. Please communicate with us if you are unsure whether to attend.
